Long Time...

Can't believe its already been a year or so since i signed in and used Xanga.... what is the target market for Xanga anyway? Teens? Middle Schoolers? Young Adults? I guess I don't fall into those categories!

Hitting the big 26 next Sunday so I feel like I have been alive for soooo long! Nothing to gripe about but to be thankful for everyday that I can be here to spend with those I love and care about and experience all that the world has to offer (on a budget of course). I am hopeful that I can get through the hard times I have right now and learn and mature as I hit these road blocks... i hope to have helping hands along the way that can guide me through.

That leads me to "Why do people not try to be positive?" They feel like they are victimized for everything that they encounter. Take it as a challenge and plow through it... most of us who gripe should take a step back and realize we are must more fortunate then many other people in our world. I guess some mentality is just jaded because they don't get there way. REality alert- no one gets lucky all the time.

So frustrating- annoying- peeve.

I am taking my circumstances and going with it. Complaining will not make it go away so I just have to deal with it.

As my parents age I realized I have instances that I have treated them badly-unfairly-taken advantage of their care.... now its time to return the favor and do all that I can to make them happy. I try to forget all the wrong doings as minor scrapes along the road. They are here and I am thankful for that.

They only can provide what they are enabled to do... I cannot ask for more than that...

Maturing- growing- and always learning... love is a wonderful thing.

Another Journey

Who knew how much I love to travel! I look back and I have gone to sooooo many places this year. I am so blessed that I have had this opportunity to see the world and experience all the touristy things posssible!

So just this past week and weekend I went to Seattle to do some training for my new job and right after the M-Th I went to Denver to Snowboard with my friends at Keystone from Fri-Sunday.

Seattle: I trained and trained and had some fancy dinners on the company. But my favorite is seeing all the fall foliage that you never see here in Orlando. Also I got to visit the space needle, Pike Place Market (where they throw the fish), and the First Starbucks everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...... so needless to say I also drank a lot of Starbucks! You just have to since they have like two in the same shopping center and taste way better than hotel coffee! I had an awesome time bonding with my manager, director, and VP of my department...and best of all no $ out of my pocket!

I would consider moving there since it sooo beautiful with the leaves falling, mountains, lakes and all the 'things there is to do there! It was a direct 6 hour flight with 2 cryings babies next to me, and me having a cold... just not fun.
Seattle:

Denver/Keystone: On Friday I flew out to Denver from SEattle for me and Cat's planned snowboarding trip for Heng's Bday. So we rented a condo right by the mountains!  This is my second time snowboarding and the easy slopes were not  open so we had to go to the internmediate ones... wow those cliffs are sooo scary! I am not that great so I slid down the cliff on my butt than with my board since It was sooo scary.  That was a really fun trip since we had 8 people.

And back to a hectic week at work. Since this is a new job I have so much to learn and process... One email that I send goes out to 400,000 people! So if I mess up I am F*c*ed

O well I hope this change is for the better and will benefit my career.. even though i miss all the days off at my other job!

Las Vegas

VIVA LAS VEGASSSSSSSS!
Just returned to from my 5 Day Vegas Trip!

Day 1- Flew out of Orlando International Airport. The flight was a bit delayed so my connecting flight was a couple minutes away in Denver Airport. When we finally arrived at the gate they scanned us and said we did not have any seats. This probably meant they overbooked or bumped us and had us get on the next flight which was a couple hours away. But we at least got a roundtrip ticket and $6.00 meal voucher each for compensation.

Arrived in Vegas around 1:00pm, the weather was stuffy. Felt like baking in an oven! My brother had already arrived so he picked us up from the airport and we headed to the Wynn Hotel/Fashion Spot Mall/ and Chinatown to do some sightseeing since our other two people in our group had not arrived. At night we went to Mandalay Bay, Four Seasons, and the Luxor where we saw Carrot Top get off from work from his comedy show… he was buff like a guy on steroids!

Day 2- We went to Ethels Chocolate Factory which was pretty cool to see how chocolate was made and how specialty orders were hand placed. After that we headed to Imperial Palace/Harrah’s Casino where we hit up the Mac King Comedy show (pretty good for $10) and the old classic car museum…. Walked around for a bit there and hanged out while the boys gambled at Harrah’s. Afterwards we headed to The Venetian which was so nice and reminded me of Venice Italy all over again…. Everything was so similar it was crazy!  Then we headed home to get ready to go see Cirque du Soleil show  “Ka”…

The Ka show was spectacular sooooo amazing how they had a rotating stage and wonderful story line and acrobatics! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Everything was so beautiful even without words. After the show we walked through MGM Hotel and went to dinner back at the Tropicana Hotel.

Day 3- Woke up early and headed to Hoover Dam- it was a pretty cool place… never seen such a big dam in my life! They had this tunnel that was huge funnel thing to take away the water that flooded the dam. After that we drove forever and went to the Grand Canyon! That was unbelievable! Mother Nature is truly amazing and it was very nice there. The weather was great and the view even more spectacular. We climbed some crazy rocks and Johnny cut his head on a tree branch!  And then on the way home to the timeshare through the boonies~!

Day 4- Next we saw the Red Rock Canyon! This was a smaller scale of canyons but just as magnificent. I liked these bit more because we could climb and hike it. Of course we didn’t because of the time crunch but we got to run down a hill and up. That almost killed us added to the dessert heat.  Once we got back we walked the strip! Walked to almost all the well known hotels and checked it out.

We visited Monte Carlo, Paris, New York, Excalibur, Planet Hollywood, Bellagios, and Caesars Palace. We tried to watch the volcano show at the Mirage and the Sirens show… but with our luck it rained and the shows got cancelled. Rain is no big deal but if in Las Vegas it only rains once in a blue moon and it happened to be when we were there! So we headed home disappointed. That night we tried to make the best of it by trying to go to Ghost Bar @ the Palms but it was closed! And then we tried to go to some strip clubs and they charged an arm and a leg for just an hour left of stripping~! So we left to go home not entertained and depressed.

Day 5- Our last day here L We went to The Palms and ate at a great buffet there! Then to Rio to see their masquerade sky show which was pretty good. And then saw the Chippendale dancers posing for pictures (which you had to buy for 36.00!) Then we headed back to the strip to finish it up and to Freemont Street to see the night show plus visit the Golden Nugget.  That concluded our stay in Las Vegas…..

Once at the airport and on the plane…the horrible story starts where our flight had malfunctions right before lift off so we had to wait a couple hours before the next flight came in to take us! It was a red eye flight and we were dead tired the next day trying to go to work!  CRAziness that concludes this Las Vegas Trip.

Howdy ya’ll

How is everyone been?? I have had a extremely busy month but well worth it with more traveling adventures and new experiences...!

I got to go on my first ever business trip to Austin , Texas and stay at the awesome Four Seasons resort.  I did not have time to party to much or site see but I stayed downtown mostly and got to visit the Capital Building which was pretty cool. I sat in the meeting where all the legislature people were bringing up Texas laws and bills to see if they can be passed to the Senate. Also, stand by the bridge that supposedly have thousands of Bats that fly out from under the bridge at dusk… which I stood there for 2 nights and no sign of Bats flying out L

The food in Austin is pretty good. Mexican cuisine is everywhere and pretty authentic. They have a Coyote Ugly there as well and I had a chance to dance on the bar with some random girl I do not know since everyone in my group was a older business person… this may end my career but it was a lot of fun!

Right after I got back from Austin , I flew out the next day to Toronto Canada !
Two out of the three friends I went with got detained at the border and was sent back home.. So I set off with my other friend… I got to meet up with the Fabulous Kelvin & Marissa which was soo fun to reminisce on old Contiki Memories!
We did majority of the non tourist stuff this time around. We got to go into non public buildings and check things out there (like Marissa stated in her other email).. We got to go clubbing at (?) and Guvernment (a club big on trance and techno),  go to a CD launch party and get free goodies, got to go to a Play and of course eat alllllllllll the yummy international food that TO had to offer!  (Thank you two for making this such an awesome trip!). I highly recommend visiting and make sure you contact your personal tour guide Kelvin since he knows every corner of that city!

In the end I had to leave and the last friend who was with me got detained in Canada and was cannot come back to USA ….. Craziness!
